A free trial lesson is a promise that expires exactly when it starts to matter. IB families do not need protecting in September of DP1 — they need it in the fortnight before the May exams, and in the IA and Extended Essay crunch, when there is no time left to fix a bad assignment. So ours never expires. If a session falls short in week two or week sixty, the student asks and it is refunded in full.

Most guides to IB points in Switzerland quote figures nobody ever published. These are the requirements the institutions publish themselves for the 2026/27 academic year — and all three sit within tram distance of the schools above.
Read backwards, this is a subject-selection problem long before it is a revision problem. ETH's requirement is not really a score — it is a shape: mathematics and a science at Higher Level, chosen in DP1, two years before anybody mentions points. The most expensive mistake we are called about in Zürich is a student who drops to Maths AI at Standard Level because DP1 was punishing, then discovers in DP2 that it has quietly closed the engineering door. That is a first-session conversation, not a final-term one — which is exactly why we ask for the subject, the level and the year before we assign anybody.
Eleven schools inside the Zürich commuter belt hold live IB authorisation. Two of them — Inter-Community School and the International School of Zug and Luzern — run the full continuum from PYP through MYP to the Diploma; the other nine are Diploma-only, which is why so many Zürich students meet IB assessment language for the first time in DP1. Only two state Kantonsschulen in canton Zürich are authorised for the Diploma, and both are at Rämibühl. No school in the Zürich area offers the Career-related Programme. Every entry below is checked against the school’s current authorisation, not against a directory listing.
