Most Standard Level teaching sits with our Experienced tutors at CHF 89/hr. Higher Level, a stalled Internal Assessment, an Extended Essay or a predicted grade that has to move before May goes to our Most Accomplished tutors at CHF 99/hr. Mixing the two across subjects is normal — and we will say when the cheaper tier is the right one.
The Diploma was born here — the IB was founded in Geneva in 1968, and Switzerland now has 52 IB World Schools, 50 of them authorised for the DP. What it has rather less of is tutors who can tell Analysis and Approaches from Applications and Interpretation, or who have read an examiner report before offering an opinion on your child's Internal Assessment. Read the IB tutoring market carefully and you will notice the guarantees nearly all expire after the first lesson — exactly when nothing is at stake yet. Ours does not expire. A session in March, six weeks before Paper 1, is refunded in full if the student asks. No conditions, no approval, no awkward conversation with the tutor.

Almost every enquiry we take about the Diploma is one of these four. None of them is about a student who is not clever enough.
They cruised through the MYP or IGCSE and arrived at Higher Level to find the ground gone. Nothing is wrong with them — the jump is real, and it is almost always algebra, or writing, or the fact that nobody ever asked them to evaluate anything before.
The research question is too broad, the data is not going to work, and the draft deadline is a fortnight away. We supervise inside the IB’s academic-integrity rules — the tutor asks the questions, your child writes every word of it.
Mocks went badly, the offer needs a 6, and May is eight weeks out. Add three subjects now, drop to none in June — nothing here is holding you afterwards, and every session is refundable if it does not move.
A point short of the offer, or one subject that let the whole Diploma down. Retakes are a different job from first sittings: narrower, more surgical, and built entirely around what the July grade actually told us.
